Grand Junction, Colo.
Colorado plans to build National Guard readiness centers and armories in Grand Junction, Alamosa, and Windsor. Governor Bill Ritter scheduled an announcement for Tuesday on funding for the centers. The projects are part of the Army’s “Grow the Force” initiative.
The Guard is operating a temporary armory and recruiting station in Alamosa. It’s the home of the new Delta Company, 1st of the 157th Infantry Battalion.
