You may wonder what’s behind the big wooden door of this impressive house up in the hill. It goes beyond how the other half lives. According to Re/Max realtor Jim Brunswick, this home on the Redlands Mesa golf course is going for $3.2 million.
Considering the average Mesa County home sold for just over $225,000 last year, what makes this one so special? Brunswick says it’s a masterpiece, and will be for hundreds of years to come.
For homeowner Dave Dodd and his wife, there are countless touches that have made this their dream home; from the kitchen, to the lighting system, and a master bathroom with real stone. One of Myrna Dodd’s favorite features is the closet.
Myrna did all the decorating herself, but you’ll find Dave’s touches down the stairs. They include a media room with theater seating and a game room with a wall hanging that brings its own story. Dave Dodd says he shot the elk from 700 yards away on a hunting trip.
The Dodd’s dream home is now on the market so they can move to Arizona and Dave says it will be hard to let the place go. They’ll take the furniture and the art, but they’ll have to leave Dave’s prized spot on the 18th hole behind.
