Mesa County, Colo.

The Mesa County Health Department has 400 more doses of the H1N1 vaccine, but if you do not already have an appointment to get one, you are out of luck until the next batch arrives.

Just an hour after the Health Department began taking vaccination appointments, all 400 slots were filled. Appointments were only offered to priority groups, including pregnant women, anyone who lives with or cares for children under 6 months, children 2 to 5, children 5 to 18 with chronic illness, as well as health care or emergency workers.

H1N1 vaccines are expected to arrive in Mesa County on a weekly basis. All other immunizations will be suspended for Wednesday.

For up-to-date information about the vaccine, you can log on to the Health Department’s website at http://www.health.mesacounty.us or call (970) 248-6989.
