Grand Junction, Colo.
Grand Junction Police are warning people to beware of a credit card scam sweeping the Western Slope. Scammers are using automated phone calls that tell customers their debit card information has been compromised. The call asks the listener to enter their card number and pin. That gives the scammers access to the victim’s bank account.
While this scam has not been reported in Grand Junction, it has been in other Western Slope cities.
If you receive the call, police say you should not enter the information. Instead, contact your bank directly.
