A Grand Junction man is arrested for burglary, but his accomplice is still on the run. 21-year-old Curtis Ebertowski was arrested by Montrose Police Sunday night. Officials say Ebertowski and another man stole electronics and computer equipment from Office Depot.
The two took off in a truck, which they crashed through a fence before fleeing on foot. Police caught up to Ebertowski, but the other man escaped, perhaps into the Uncompahgre River. Officers say they found clothing on the river’s bank that may have belonged to the suspected burglar.
Ebertowksi is in the Montrose County Jail, facing several charges including theft and vehicular eluding. Bond is set at $20,000.
