If you’re planning on hitting the links next year, it may cost you a little more. The Grand Junction City Council will vote Monday night on a proposal to increase season pass rates for Lincoln Park and Tiara Rado golf courses by 4%. The increase would amount to an additional $11 for the limited pass and $14 for the regular pass, and would help cover operational costs, according to Rob Shoeber, the director of Parks and Recreation for Grand Junction.
The proposed increases would not affect regular greens fees, which will remain where they are now. Shoeber says you have until the end of this year to get a 2010 season pass at this year’s rates before the higher fee goes into effect next year, if the measure is passed.
The proposal before the council would also increase the city’s ambulance transport fee by 2.5% next year. The Grand Junction Fire Department hopes the increase will bring in an additional $53,000 to help offset operational costs and cuts to their budget.
