The Mesa County District Attorney is faced with questions after a party is busted at his own home. Just because Mesa County District Attorney Pete Hautzinger enforces the law doesn’t mean his kids are following them.

Police say a party at Hautzinger’s Redlands home had more than two dozen underage drinkers.

According to Hautzinger, the party was hosted by his sons when he was on vacation with his wife.

When they arrived on scene, police broke up a house party and found 24 juveniles and two adults drinking alcohol. The juveniles were both girls and boys between the ages of 14 and 17. All 26 people were issued minor in possession tickets and released on a summons to appear in court.

The teens were released to responsible adults.

Hautzinger tells News Channel 5 when he returns, his kids will face the consequences for breaking his rules.
