A Grand Junction convicted murderer may get another chance for freedom.
Michael Blagg was found guilty in April 2004 for killing his wife at their home in the Redlands. His daughter, Abby, has been missing for over eight years, and is presumed dead.
Attorneys will air claims that a legally blind juror tainted Blagg’s conviction. He is scheduled for a two-day evidence hearing starting January 11th.
Blagg’s public defenders filed a motion in 2005 that argued he deserves a new trial because a juror did not disclose her impairment. He is serving life without the possibility of parole.
