Redlands, Colo.

A candle is to blame for a chiminey fire in the Redlands.  Just before 4 o’clock this evening, the Grand Junction fire department was called to a house on Rana Road.  Fire officials say the fire started with a candle and spread to the chiminey.  One person was at home during the time of the fire, but made it out safely.  Fire crews were able to exstiguish the flames pretty quickly, but warn with the holidays approaching everyone should be extra careful and keep an eye on lit candles around the house.  Damages are estimated at 3-thousand dollars.
