One skier remains hospitalized in serious condition after being trapped in an avalanche. It’s a story we told you about last night on News Channel 5.
35-year-old Seth Anderson and 40-year-old Ann Driggers were caught in an avalanche near Palisade Point on Wednesday. Both were airlifted to the hospital. Driggers wasn’t hurt.
Anderson had extensive lower body injuries. His older brother tells News Channel 5 he went through six hours of surgery Wednesday night and another six Thursday. He says they are just lucky his brother is alive.
He has some major lower extremity injuries, that involved some vascular damage, left femur and right tibia and fibia are fractured pretty significantly.
Anderson is the owner of Loki a manufacturer of outdoor gear. Driggers is the president of the Grand Junction Economic Partnership.
