Grand Junction, Colo.

The Grand Junction City Council adopted the 2010 operating budget tonight. The City Manager says she is confident in the balanced budget and thinks those who live in the area will be happy, too.

Balancing the budget was a challenge as departments across the board make personnel cuts and operating cuts.  Even with a tighter budget, many of the day-to-day operations and projects around the city will continue to operate.

This year, there will be no utility fee increases for things like trash collecting, water, and sewer. You can voice your opinion Monday night at the City Council meeting. The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium of City Hall.
